Frequently Asked Question

Goto a full windows or Mac desktop or laptop.
Open your browser of choice
-Goto "https://outlook.office365.com" (without quotes)
-Sign in with your credentials
-on the additional information screen, select NEXT
-On the Microsoft Authenticator screen, select NEXT
-Follow the instructions on the next screen and select NEXT
-You should see the QR code on the screen

GOTO phone
-Download the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone (iPhone use apple App Store.  Android use google play store.  Make sure the provider is Microsoft Corporation)
-Open the newly download app, go through the startup wizard, when you get a screen that wants a Microsoft account, Add work or school, or scan QR code, in the corner of the screen there will be a SKIP button. Select SKIP.
-In the main Authenticator screen, select the "+" button in the upper right corner.
-Select Work or school account
-Select Scan a QR code (allow camera access if needed)
-Scan the QR code from the computer above
-Follow the instructions on the screen

2FA should now be setup.
